The design of Andiron Steak & Sea sidesteps tradition, bringing a feminine touch to the more familiar, expected masculine steakhouse aesthetic. The softness of materials and textures and the openness of the design mirror the chef’s reputation for applying a light touch. Custom fabricated roofs suspended from above, each with its own unique exposed framework, size and geometry, establish a variety of intimate seating areas each with an abstract, sculptural quality. White-washed wood paneling, brick clad perimeter walls and extensive full height widows with louvered wood shutters and floor-to-ceiling sheer drapery enhance the openness and airy feel. The soft edges of the various custom banquettes, designed to resemble residential sofas, are upholstered in a light, comforting green adding a splash of color to the neutral background.  A freestanding open shed with curtains and sliding shutters create a central private dining room. Plush custom sofas and custom floor lamps give a cozy, residential feel, centered on the open display kitchen viewed through large glass windows.
